the consultancy has supported board approvals for some US$500m in investments in the TMT sector through its demand analysis and commercial due

Commercial Due Diligence - We are regularly engaged to conduct commercial due diligence. This may include the development of a
business plan, conducting an independent assessment of the country marketing and business environment in which a client business operates and
specifying actions and tactics to assure the achievement of corporate, financial and marketing objectives. We also act on behalf of investor
organizations to review details of a potential investment, assessing the competitive environment, investment value, business operations and future
market potential of an identified acquisition target, and produce demand analyses to support investment decisions. As a recent example, we
conducted commercial assessment of a data centre based in the Australasia region to change its business model and customer segmentation.
Our practice areas include:
Data Centres, Managed Services, Outsourcing and Virtualisation - Data Centres is a growth market driven by a range of drivers
resulting in the need to migrate to third party outsourcing of IT, as well as the emergence of online gaming and triple play. In Europe the sector
has moved rapidly over the past few years and consolidation is occurring. In Asia the market is on the verge of substantial growth. The data centre
practice has produced a series of depth studies covering markets globally, the rise of managed services, outsourcing to third parties, and the
emergence of green data centres as well as conducting numerous consulting engagements. Over 2008 we will increase the focus on managed services,
outsourcing and the evolution of virtualisation and how this will impact. Examples: We have been engaged in series of assignments over the past
twelve months where we have provided services ranging from demand analysis, customer analysis, market data collection and analysis and other
special services for a series of players in the market segments. One current project is to provide an assessment of Green data centres, credentials,
and CSR requirements on behalf of an operator client.
Internet Infrastructure, Interconnect, Dark Fibre and Wholesale - BroadGroup began assessing the transformation occurring in the
wholesale sector, and conducted an annual survey of the wholesale environment and conducted financial analysis of wholesale businesses and the
increasingly critical wholesale data market. It has also engaged in analysis focused on dark fibre and particularly its deployment in Europe and
evolution in Central and Eastern Europe. BroadGroup has also embarked on an investigation of peering arrangements and its emergence and future
as a significant force in international communications. Example: We are currently supporting a company in its analysis of fibre availability and
pricing in eastern and central Europe.
ICT growth opportunities in Emerging Markets - We assess ICT growth opportunities across a number of markets, and specialise in
the following geographies: Central & Eastern Europe, North Africa, India and Latin America. We identify and assess finance and investment
occurring in specific niche markets within the TMT sector. High level analysis and insight is also provided through the specialist Finance and
Investment fora we organise across each year, with specialists involved across a range of emerging markets and sectors.
Business Services:
Networking Events - At the end of 2004, BroadGroup launched an events division, both extending its value chain and market reach.
The company also hosted a series of symposia which deconstructed the financial structure of wholesale operations in telecommunication service
companies. In 2008 it will hold 15 events in the UK and internationally and the company has now developed significant brands. The company has
also recently launched a custom conference unit which will cater for clients’ increasing needs for in-house and client based events. In November
2007, we researched and organised the Finance and Investment Forum: Data Centres, bringing together investors and operators in a very focused
forum that was very successful. We hold annual Data Centres Europe and Awards Ceremony, Data Centres Asia, and Power and Cooling for Data Centres
as well as specialised seminars, and a series of events under the title of Telecom Finance. We also organise custom events on behalf of
clients.
Portals – we run a number of portals sites across different
practices. Links to the portals can be found at the bottom of the page under the

Reports and Newsletters - All BroadGroup reports are commissioned and researched by our own experienced team. Using qualitative
and quantitative methodologies, we undertake primary research across a range of specific areas linked to the practice areas of our consulting
business. The company also publishes Data Centre News and Carrier Wholesale News. Recent Reports include: Power and Cooling Technologies
(published February 2008); Outsourcing Frameworks (published February 2008). We have assessed Green data centres in a substantial report –

underway for more than 20 reports.
