Members attending the Annual General Meeting of the London Internet Exchange (LINX) in London have elected Patrick Gilmore of Akamai Technologies to its Council of non-executive directors. Patrick succeeds Nigel Titley from Easynet who has retired after serving as a Council member since LINX's inception in 1994. Patrick Gilmore is responsible for peering at Akamai Technologies, personally overseeing the companies direct participation at 26 Internet exchanges. LINX Members also re-elected Raza Rizvi of Opal Solutions after serving a total of four years on the LINX Council.
