UK company Secerno, a technology leader in data security, has announced the results of an independent survey of over 1,200 UK consumers reviewing their concern on the issue of personal data theft. The survey, conducted by Ipsos MORI, reveals that only 5% of respondents claimed not to be concerned about the security of their personal data. The recent publicity on international breaches, such as the TJX/TKMaxx data loss, has had a dramatic impact on the UK consumer. It is not only the ability to secure UK data that concerns the public.

Two recently published surveys provide contrasting experiences of enterprise users in the adoption of server virtualisation technology. A survey by business software company CA of 800 organisations across North America, Europe (including 100 in the UK) and Asia Pacific has found that 74% of organisations have already deployed server virtualisation. Another 15% of firms surveyed state that they are due to deploy virtualisation within the next 18 months.
