    1-Net Singapore Launch Managed Content Service

    1-Net Singapore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MediaCorp Technologies, has launched NexMedia, a one-stop service for managing content distribution for content owners, aggregators and service providers, with the support of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). With the advent of new content platforms like Video-on-Demand (VOD) over broadband, IPTV, Broadband TV, 3G and Digital Cinema, content owners are confronted with challenges of dealing with complex technical and business issues.

    Half London Businesses Unprepared For Emergency

    Half of London's businesses have no contingency plan in place to cope with a terror attack or another emergency, a new survey has revealed. A joint study by KPMG and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has found that just 47% of businesses in the capital with a turnover of less than £5m which accounts for 98% of London firms have such plans in place. A further 29%, however, said they are in the process of drawing up a contingency plan.
