Trader Media Group has extended its relationship with TelecityRedbus with the acquisition of additional managed data centre space at the TelecityRedbus data centre in Manchester. Level 3 Communications' Content Markets Division has announced it has been selected by CacheLogic, a provider of media delivery solutions to the content community, to provide network services that will enable the growth of CacheLogic's global media delivery platform. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement Level 3 will be CacheLogic's preferred provider of high-speed Internet access and colocation services to support the company's recently announced VelociX accelerated media delivery platform, targeting TV producers and studios who want to rapidly distribute their media to end-users.

Rackspace Managed Hosting, a recognized leader in the global managed hosting market, has announced the addition of Managed Microsoft Exchange from Rackspace to its comprehensive email solution portfolio. The offer gives companies of all sizes access to an on-demand and highly available deployment of one of the world's most widely-deployed email and collaboration solutions, while eliminating the need for complex configuration and management of a dedicated Microsoft Exchange server.

BT has signed a seven year managed services agreement with PepsiCo Inc. to provide and manage an integrated portfolio of data, LAN, security, conferencing, remote access, and Internet services to support the information technology requirements for the PepsiCo International division of PepsiCo. PepsiCo International's local and wide area network infrastructure will be managed across more than 900 locations in more than 60 countries. In addition, BT will migrate these services to an IP-based global MPLS infrastructure.

Auto manufacturer DaimlerChrysler has extended its 17-year old global services contract with Verizon Business and entered into a new agreement for managed services for its Mercedes-Benz unit. Verizon Business will continue to provide managed network services, including DaimlerChrysler's assembly networks in North America and in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and also to provide a combination of managed services to support the automaker' end-to-end network.

According to ABI Research the success of video-share content providers such as YouTube has created a new type of ASP known as the Broadband Video ASP. These ASP's allow media and other enterprises to place their video content online as a hosted service. Services provided also include publishing; syndicating; commercializing and content management and security. The Broadband Video ASP sector operates as a form of SaaS provider and is predicted by ABI Research to generate revenues of $1.9 billion by 2011.
