Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a global provider of end-to-end Internet business solutions, has announced the launch of its managed server services, a new addition to the company's suite of content delivery network (CDN) solutions. The managed servers enable CDN customers to further rely on Internap's expertise for their Web-based businesses while ensuring faster time to market.

Attenda Limited, the Always On Managed Services company, has announced that that Davis Langdon has placed a five year, six-figure contract, with Attenda, to host a new SAP system implementation across its UK and Middle-Eastern business. Davis Langdon LLP has some 3,820 staff in 95 offices worldwide operating across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and the United States.

Global managed security services provider Integralis, Inc. has announced a significant expansion of its ISIS (Integralis Security Information System) infrastructure which provides reliability to security appliance management. ISIS, Integralis' data intelligence engine, powers the event correlation for the organization's full portfolio of 5,000 managed devices.

BT has awarded a 6 year GBP128 million contract extension to outsourcing services company Xansa to provide finance and accounting services. Xansa will handle BT's Finance and Accounting transaction processing, accounts payable, cash, treasury, payroll and reporting services until March 2014. The contract is an extension of an existing contract. Under the terms of the contract the annual value will fall from the previous value of GBP35.7 million per annum to GBP21.3 million.

IT services provider T-Systems has announced that Swiss-based international energy supplier Ratia Energie has outsourced all its IT and related communications technology to T-Systems in Switzerland. The IT services being transferred include network and computer centre infrastructure, PC workstation operation, Service Desk and the operation of all SAP applications. T-Systems is deploying its own on-demand SAP application which can be changed in line with the business demands its so-called Dynamic Services for SAP Applications.

US-based Data Centre equipment company Rackable Systems has announced the launch of its ICE Cube modular Data Centre concept. It provides a Data Centre in a 40 foot by 8 foot shipping crate and is thought to be especially needed for Disaster Recovery or military applications. The ICE (Integrated Concerto Environment) Cube can provide 11,200 processor cores or up to 4.1 Petra bytes of storage. The Cube uses Rackable's space saving half depth server and storage racks and its V-Series line virtualization server.

BT's newly formed Global Services sustainability practice has launched a service to assist large companies reduce their energy consumption and carbon footprint. Companies are able to calculate the amount of CO2 emissions produced as a result of their networked IT services. Available in the UK and the USA the BT carbon impact assessment calculates the impact of people's work patterns (such as commuting), business operations, shared services and building infrastructure. It also allows the carbon impact of a series of what if measures to be made in order to assess future scenarios.

IT services company Atos-Origin has announced that its Atos Worldline subsidiary is to provide a web hosting service to Publicis Net, the interactive advertising subsidiary of the French advertising agency Group Publicis. Atos Worldwide is to host the events platform which will be used to support interactive advertising campaigns using flash technology with the capability to support high traffic volumes and be scalable to cater for campaigns.

International solutions provider, Logicalis, has announced it has been awarded a 5-year managed services contract with biotechnology company, Avecia Biologics, worth £2.7million. The service, which includes 24/7 management and monitoring of Avecia's server farms, applications and storage area network (SAN), will support their consolidated IT infrastructure, and support compliance regulations stipulated by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
