DATA CENTRES EUROPE 2010 AWARDS NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

London – 10 March 2010, the organizers and researchers of 6th Data Centres Europe (www.datacentres.com/dce) have announced a record number of nominations for the Awards from more than 15 countries. The short list and winner will be announced at an Awards Dinner which will take place on the evening of 22nd April at the event venue in Sophia Antipolis, near Nice in France.

“This year’s nominations have revealed both an extremely high quality of entry, and that the prestige of winning a European award is clearly perceived as yielding significant marketing differentiation,” commented Philip Low, managing director at BroadGroup.

The Awards categories are as follows: Best New Entrant in European Data Centre Market, Best European Colocation Facility, Best European Enterprise Data Centre Facility, Best Regional European Data Centre, Best New European Cloud Services Award, Best European Sustainable Data Centre Design Award, Best Industry Cooling Innovation Award, and the Best European Managed Services Provider.

The Best European Green Initiative Award is endorsed and will be presented by The Green Grid.

In addition two special awards will be given: European CTO Award for Innovation in Data Centres and the Judges Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Centre Sector.
