H2O Networks, an i3 Group company, builds low cost dark fibre networks to ensure that datacentres and other business critical
applications have the bandwidth to support requirements now and in the future. We offer bespoke point to point links and have developed
Fibrezone dark fibre rings to ensure unlimited bandwidth is an affordable commodity.
We have pioneered the use of ready made ducts including the sewer network and other innovative technologies to lay the fibre optic cables.
Known as the FS System this has two major benefits:
1. Because we do not have to dig up the road, the speed and cost of deployment is reduced by up to 90%
2. Using ready made ducts means that disruption, including road works, is kept to a minimum.
The Fibrezone model is a dark fibre ring built around a business sector, campus, town or city that customers within the catchment area, including
datacentres, local authorities, hospitals, schools and local businesses, can connect to and benefit from unlimited super fast connectivity.
This model lowers the cost of building bespoke fibre optic networks even more.
Deploying a H2O Networks dark fibre network and connecting to a Fibrezone means that businesses and organisations can benefit from:
- Much lower costs of entry and have more predictable and reduced total cost of ownership over a 10 year period
- Unlimited future proof connectivity
- A guaranteed robust and resilient telecommunications network which can be easily scaled as requirements change
H2O Networks also works with key partners to offer complete business solutions including managed services.

The data center of Dataplex is located in Budapest, Hungary, with a total technical area of 14,400 m2 on two levels and over 22MW of
power available for our customers. The location of our technically advanced facility makes it possible to easily access the fiber
backbone networks of telecommunications service providers and we are conveniently located within the city center as well.
Dataplex serves a wide range of customers from the telecommunications, financial and multinational corporate sectors. Due to the mission-critical
nature of our client’s applications, the building and support infrastructure were designed according to the N+1 philosophy of a Tier III data center.
This means that apart from the required number (N) of systems, a back-up (+1) system must always be available, even during annual scheduled maintenance.
The interior of the building was designed for quick and easy network cabling installations and provides for flexible solutions with a 60cm raised
floor and a false ceiling. The floor tiles have a load capacity of 2,000kg per square meter, allowing for convection cooling of the equipment
and for hiding electrical and network cabling.
The complex systems deployed within the data center are monitored round the clock by the engineers of Dataplex. Their task of maintaining
100% availability is greatly supported by the building management system, which monitors more than 12,000 sensor points.
Sentilla® provides enterprise management solutions for data centers. Sentilla Energy Manager is a non-invasive, software-only solution that provides a comprehensive view of energy use of the entire data center that gives IT executives with a consolidated view of where, when and why energy is used. By using Version 3.0, which scales to support the largest data center environments, Sentilla's customers can now track, predict and manage energy use of every single piece of equipment in the data center, including those that are unmetered. And it's done in real-time, and within 2% accuracy!
As a result of having greater planning and management of energy consumption, data center managers can not only improve performance and efficiency, but also reduce downtime and better plan for expansion or consolidation.

Because your IT system represents a strategic investment that is vital for your company, Colony Capital and Alcatel have created a new site that is completely dedicated to hosting your IT infrastructure and securing your data: DATA IV
“DATA IV's goal is to serve major global corporations, particularly listed companies that are subject to regulations that encourage them to host their IT equipment in highly secure, Tier 4 infrastructures (1)”
Christophe Fournage, Président de DATA 4
DATA IV pushed standards beyond the limits to define new technical standards when they created the most state-of-the-art data center in Europe.
Facilities designed from A to Z to ensure the security of your data
The DATA IV concept leverages the latest breakthroughs in security, technology, infrastructure and organization. By starting with a clean slate, the founders of DATA IV have managed to bypass the usual constraints - urban planning, adapting existing buildings, etc. - to design the ultimate in data centers, entirely from scratch to serve major global corporations.
A secure site dedicated to research and technology
DATA IV was built on the former Alcatel Marcoussis site, approximately 30 kilometers south of Paris. This 120-hectare complex, a historical French telecommunications research center, enjoys the highest security.
A key location and privileged infrastructures in the Paris region
DATA IV is located less than 2 km from the Villejust site, the largest French electrical supply post, which represents a considerable advantage for the development of the data center in terms of its power supply.
Data IV is on the cutting edge of innovation in sustainable development
DATA IV developed a unique, revolutionary cooling process, protected by two patents, that significantly reduces the energy needed to run the air conditioning system. It has already obtained two French CEE certificates (certified energy savings), and a third one is underway.
DATA IV and TIER IV
The site achieves the closest possible approximation of total compliance with the Uptime Institute's Tier 4 classification, with an uptime objective of virtually 100%.
The Land Reserve, a unique asset in the Paris Region
With a 120-hectare land reserve, of which 40 hectares are completely developed, the site will be able to meet all our clients future expansion needs.
A European ambition
Building on their success on the Marcoussis site, DATA IV plans to accompany its clients across Europe by developing two new data center campuses in London and Munich. These two openings are planned for 2010 and 2011.
(1) Tier 4: standards for data centers defined by the Uptime Institute that classifies data centers according to their uptime. Tier 4 represents the highest level with an availability of virtually 100%

A propos de France For Datacenters
