Bouygues Construction has started work on a major data centre in Pantin, in the north-eastern outskirts of Paris. The first phase of the contract is worth a total of €75 million
The building will provide about 11,000 sq m of computer room space, making it one of the largest data centres in France. It is being constructed for data hosting company Equinix. Work is scheduled for completion during the third quarter of 2012 and the first phase of the project will involve three of Bouygues Construction’s subsidiaries.
