Global Net Access (GNAX) has acquired a new 75k sq.ft building to be managed by Colo Facilities Atlanta. According to the company, the building will survive tornado strength winds. It is 5 miles from their current location and situated on the way to the airport and on a major fibre ring owned by the local gas utility. GNAX has signed a lease for 25,000 sq.ft of space in the NAP and will begin operations in the new building in January 2006. The remaining 50,000 sq.ft will be available for rent immediately for data centre and colocation operations.
IXEurope has announced their fifth and most stunning acquisition to date of the former Digiplex Frankfurt data centre, a facility capable of offering 56, 600 sq m (over 600,000 sq feet) of space, though with an immediate capacity of 6000 sq m of fitted out space.
STT Communications has announced the sale of its entire holding of 10.2m shares in Equinix, a stake of about a third of the company on a fully diluted basis. About half the stock will be made available via a public offering with the balance sold through a forward contract arranged with CSFB.
The company has reported its quarterly results for the period ended September 30, 2005.Revenues were US$58.1 million for the third quarter, a 37% increase over the same quarter last year and an 11% increase over the previous quarter. Recurring revenues, consisting of colocation, interconnection and managed services, were US$54.3 million, a 36% increase over the same quarter last year and a 10% increase over the previous quarter.
Hosted Solutions, the Carolinas' based data centre and hosting company, has increased 3Q sales results, highlighted by 15 client wins totalling US$8.6 million. The company offers services in its Raleigh, Cary and Charlotte data centres. Hosted Solutions is currently finalising a previously announced merger with DataPipe, a Hoboken, N.J.-based company with data centres in New York, London, and San Jose. The companies will be announcing the opening of a seventh data centre later this year.

Total revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 were $14.0 million, representing an increase of 31% over the previous quarter.The percentage of data center revenue derived from Federal government customers during the quarter ended September 30, 2005 was 23%.Data center expenses were $8.7 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, representing an increase of $1.7 million over the previous quarter.
Cogent Communications Group, Inc. (AMEX: COI) today announced net service revenue of $33.8 million for the three months ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 55.4% over $21.7 million for the three months ended September 30, 2004. On-net revenue was $20.2 million for the three months ended September 30, 2005, an increase of 41.3% over $14.3 million for the three months ended September 30, 2004. On-net service is provided to customers located in buildings that are physically connected to Cogent's network by Cogent-owned facilities.
