  • LiquidityHub Selects BT For Connectivity And Hosting

    LiquidityHub, a consortium of investment banks in the fixed income markets for the aggregation of liquidity and market data in support of electronic trading, has announced it has selected BT to provide connectivity and hosting services. LiquidityHub's high volume messaging system of fixed income dealer prices and transaction data will be hosted in a BT data centre in London and available via the Radianz Shared Market Infrastructure. As part of the agreement, BT will provide LiquidityHub with a secure, stable and low latency environment.

  • Computerland Achieves Managed Services Growth

    Computerland UK's managed services business has achieved 49% year-on-year revenue growth to more than GBP10m, and maintenance contracts business rose almost 14% to GBP7.3m. These helped lift pre-tax profits 26% to GBP2.8m. In contrast, sales of systems for clients to operate themselves stayed level at just under GBP3m, and falling equipment prices pegged the growth of revenue from reselling to 8% despite some big new volume orders. Managed services have maintained strong growth in the first quarter of the new financial year.

  • Equinix 2Q Revenue Forecast Up

    Equinix has said that its 2Q revenues are expected to increase to USD90.0 million to USD91.0 million versus prior revenue guidance of USD88.0 million to USD89.0 million. EBITDA is expected to increase to USD34.0 million to USD35.0 million versus prior EBITDA guidance of USD33.0 million to USD34.0 million.

  • VeriCenter Reports Growth

    VeriCenter, Inc., a provider of managed hosting, colocation, and infrastructure services for mid-to-large enterprises, has announced second quarter 2007 bookings of USD7.2 million in annual recurring revenue, with a 75/25 ratio of managed to collocation bookings. Managed services bookings of USD5.4 million in annual recurring revenue represent an all-time quarterly bookings record for this critical component of the VeriCenter revenue mix.

  • VMware And Intel Capital Announce Investment

    VMware, Inc., a global leader in software for virtualization solutions has announced that Intel Corporation, through its global investment arm, Intel Capital has agreed to become an investor in VMware. VMware's base virtualization platform virtualizes the Intel architecture. Intel microprocessors comprise the majority of the systems on which VMware's virtualization products are deployed. Intel Capital will invest $218.5 million in VMware's Class A common stock subject to customary regulatory and other closing conditions including Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) review.

  • Google To Acquire Postini

    Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Postini, a global leader in on-demand communications security and compliance solutions serving more than 35,000 businesses and 10 million users worldwide. Postini's services -- which include message security, archiving, encryption, and policy enforcement -- can be used to protect a company's email, instant messaging, and other web-based communications.

  • Level 3 Acquires Servecast

    Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: LVLT) has announced that its operating subsidiary has acquired Servecast Limited, a Dublinbased provider of live and on-demand video management and streaming services for broadband and mobile platforms. Level 3 has paid approximately 33 million, the equivalent of approximately $45 million, in cash to complete the acquisition of Servecast. Founded in 1998, Servecast offers proven publishing and distribution tools for video rights holders to monetize their digital assets.

    CyrusOne has announced that it has been acquired by ABRY Partners, a media and communications focused, Boston-based private equity firm. Since 2001, CyrusOne has built a strong presence in the high availability colocation and managed data center services marketplace. Over the past four years, the company has achieved strong top line and bottom line growth with a prominent niche in the energy, financial services, and healthcare marketplaces. With the completion of this transaction, CyrusOne seeks to accelerate its expansion.

The transaction, the terms of which were not disclosed, is not expected to have a material impact on SunGard's financial results.

    Equinix, Inc. The acquisition is part of HP's strategy to expand in growth markets and further its leadership in personal computing.
