Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DLR), a leading owner and manager of corporate datacentres and Internet gateways, has announced the acquisition of two properties in Europe. The first property, Cressex 1, is located in suburban London and totals approximately 51,000 rentable square feet of redevelopment space. The purchase price was 6.5 million British pounds sterling. The Company plans to build 20,000 square feet of raised floor, Turn-Key Datacentre space offering 2.88 MW of IT load, as well as 15,000 square feet of supporting office/business continuity space.
SWsoft has announced it has acquired WebHost Automation Ltd., maker of the Helm control panel and billing software for Windows with nearly 1.5 million end users worldwide. WebHost Automation is based in Bristol, U.K. The acquisition adds more Windows platform expertise to SWsoft, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, and strengthens its position as a provider of Windows-based automation software solutions. For SWsoft, the acquisition adds a significant worldwide customer base, including strong positions in the U.K. and South America.
