Interxion, a pan-European carrier-neutral data centre provider has obtained a 135million revolving credit facility. The facility will be used to support its expansion strategy and provide for the acceleration of the build-out and expansion of the data centre footprint across all of the 11 countries in which it operates. The credit facility was arranged by Fortis Bank (Nederland) B.V., Co?peratieve Rabobank Regio Schiphol U.A. and ING Bank N.V., with Fortis Bank (Nederland) B.V. acting as agent.

Q9 Networks Inc. has acquired a building and property in the Calgary, Alberta area to house its third data centre in the city. Q9 invested $20 million in the building and property and intends to invest up to $30 million more to build out an initial capacity of 1,200 cabinet equivalents. The first phase of capacity in this facility is expected to open in the summer of 2009. The new facility has a potential total capacity of more than 10,000 cabinet equivalents.

The Simple Intelligent Power Management (Simple IPM) solution from LS has become the first structured cabling system to be eligible for enhanced tax relief under the UK Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme (ECA). Enhanced Capital Allowances enable a business to claim 100 per cent first-year capital allowances on its spending on qualifying plant and machinery. The ECA accreditation provides up to 30 per cent enhanced tax refund. Simple IPM, is a solution that collects information and allows management to a micro level, within individual cabinets.

Canadian managed hosting and co-location services provider Momentum Advanced Solutions has acquired the IT hosting division of web hosting provider BroadSpire. Momentum purchased the IT hosting business for USD2.66 million before transaction costs with USD1.7 million in cash on closing and the remaining balance in a note payable over 24 months, with payments beginning six months after the closing date.

Managed IT infrastructure services provider Terremark Worldwide has reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, which were in-line with the high-end of previously announced guidance with total revenues of USD 56.1 million and EBITDA, as adjusted, of USD 11.0 million. Income from operations for the first quarter was USD 3.7 million, representing a 55 per cent year-overyear increase. Total colocation space utilisation increased to 23.7 per cent as of June 30, 2008 from 23.3 per cent as of March 31, 2008.
