Datatec subsidiary Logicalis has agreed to acquire Corpnet, a Brisbane-based provider of IT solutions including data centre, cloud and managed services solutions.
The acquisition consideration comprises A$2.7 million on completion with an additional potential earn-out payment of A$0.6 million and is contingent upon approval by the seller's shareholders. Cabinet Minister Francis Maude has confirmed that the estimated cost for the G-Cloud programme is around £4.93 million. The information was revealed when Michael Dugher, Labour MP for Barnsley East asked Maude how much the project cost. “The estimated cost for the G-Cloud programme (including the CloudStore) is £4.93 million,” replied Maude. “This is being met from the Cabinet Office SR10 settlement and is subject to the ERG spend and controls process. The savings it is expected the programme will deliver are estimated at £340 million.”
Zayo Group has announced it completed its transaction to purchase Arialink, adding 930 new route miles to the Zayo Network, including 400 miles of dense metro networks in Lansing and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Bandwidth infrastructure provider euNetworks Group said first-quarter revenues more than doubled from a year earlier, thanks in part to acquisitions but also due to generally strong sales growth. The Singapore-listed company, which owns and operates 13 fibre based metropolitan networks across Europe, said it gained 29 new customers in the quarter, with 92% of new sales being for network services.

A California-based company is building a data centre that can hold up to 200,000 servers within five years in the Price Corridor, Arizona. The company, NextFort, breaks ground Monday on the first phase of 130,000 sq ft at 2600 W. Germann Road in Chandler.
NextFort President/CEO Mark Towfiq hopes the building will open by the end of the year. he second phase of the building will add 50,000 sq ft. The steel-and- concrete structure will have a 22-foot-high perimeter wall and will contain up to 200 dedicated suites, each built to contain 1,000 servers.

The NSW Government is on the cusp of signing an historic agreement to become the anchor tenant at two new Metronode data centres to be built in Sydney and on the NSW south coast. UK outsourcer Serco has won contracts worth a combined £4 billion so far this year, according to a statement from the company. Tulip Telecom, an enterprise data service provider, has posted revenues of Rs 2705.1 crore in fiscal 2011-12, up 15.1% over FY11. Tulip posted net profit of Rs 309.7 crore for 12 months ended March 31 2012, up 1.1% over previous fiscal. Profit in fourth quarter was Rs 82.7 crore against Rs 67.1 crore in Q4 2010-11.
Recently, Tulip launched world's third largest data center in Bangalore with an investment of Rs 900 crores in FY 11 and registered leading names such as, NTT, IBM and HP as some of its major customers.
The Indian IT infrastructure market comprising servers, storage and networking equipment will reach US$2.05 billion in 2012, a 10.3% increase over 2011, according to Gartner. The market is expected to reach US$3.01 billion by 2016.
Revenue growth will be primarily driven by on-going data centre modernization, and new data centre build outs. Servers are the largest segment of the Indian IT infrastructure market, with revenue forecast to reach US$754.5 million in 2012, and grow to US$967.2 million in 2016.
Interxion, a leading European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, announced that it has amended its currently undrawn revolving credit facility. The amended facility, originally scheduled to expire on February 1, 2013, extends the termination date to May 12, 2016, expands the credit commitment from €50 million to €60 million and simultaneously improves the terms of the facility.

A new Oregon law that goes into effect on June 4th is set to provide handsome tax breaks to data centres within the state, offering significant savings to Amazon, Google, and other companies that have already created facilities there. Under the law, Oregon's data centres will be taxed only on their local value, and not on intangible assets such as their national brand value. This exemption would therefore offer major breaks to tech companies with a large national presence, and, as the New York Times speculates, may even encourage Facebook to build a second complex within the state.

Fort Worth-based TLCurban, a real estate developer and investment firm, has acquired Overton Centre, a 447,917-sq ft property that includes two nine-story office towers and a data centre in Fort Worth. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
