Equinix, Inc., Switch and Data, Terremark Worldwide, Inc., AMS-IX, DE-CIX and Force10 Networks have announced a unified effort to host biannual Global Peering Forums with the first event scheduled for March 18-23, 2006 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The forums are designed to bring together peering coordinators from North America, South America, Europe and Asia in a neutral environment to discuss interconnection of their autonomous networks.

LambdaNet Communications Deutschland AG, a premier European provider of telecommunication and Internet services, will provide a highly available Internet network platform including end-to-end 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces to Colognebased web-hosting provider intergenia AG. For LambdaNet, this is the largest individual Internet transit project in the history of the company. Covering an initial period of two years, the contract, with a volume of approx 1 million EUR, will allow intergenia to use the network platform in order to provide full root access for more than 30,000 customer servers.
