International solutions provider Logicalis has announced that it has expanded its green ICT portfolio by partnering with Verdiem, the leading developer of power management software for PC networks and United Access Limited, the low carbon technology integrator (Verdiem partner for EMEA). Under the terms of the agreement, Logicalis will promote, sell and implement Verdiem software to its existing and new clients as part of the Logicalis Green ICT programme in the UK, ResponsibilityTM.

T-Systems has announced a contract with the Swiss-based business aviation company Jet Aviation. Under the terms of the contract T-Systems will be responsible for Jet Aviation's global SAP management and will provide on-demand SAP services and technical help-desk services for users throughout the world as part of a 5-year deal. German systems integration & outsourcing subsidiary of DTAG, T-Systems, has also concluded an outsourcing agreement with Irish-based payment network provider Alphyra Group, Europe's largest independent payment network.

COLT Telecom have announced a Data Centre collocation and managed services contract with Italian cinema digital content provider Microcinema. Microcinema is a leading provider of digital film content across Italy to local cinemas. COLT is to provide the MPLS-based IP-VPN and Ethernet infrastructure and base equipment at its Turin Data Centre and work with Micromedia and its technology partners to provide a complete distribution platform.

Indian IT services company Infosys has announced an outsourcing agreement with Dutch electronics giant Philips. Under the agreement Philips will transfer its financial processing and order processing capability to Infosys to manage. The deal will involve the transfer of up to 1,400 Philips staff to the Indian company. Three shared service centres will be used by Infosys based in Poland, India and Thailand.

IBM has agreed a USD1.4 billion 7-year global IT outsourcing deal with pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. The agreement includes the provision of a global technological infrastructure to 60 countries around the world. Services provided include the provision and management of servers; storage and hosting, service desks, PC management as well as network and communications.

Six leading European institutes, spanning three countries have selected Blackboard Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBB) to provide hosting services for their entire e-Learning implementations. BPP College of Professional Studies, Leiden University, Niels Brock University, University of Exeter, University of Nottingham and York St. John University will utilize Blackboard ASP(sm) services to host their e-Learning programs. All of the institutes currently use Blackboard(r) technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Digital Realty Trust, Inc.
