Data Centres En España y Portugal Pronostican 50% De Crecimiento En Espacio Para 2010

Londres y Barcelona, 11 Septiembre 2007 Un nuevo informe de los consultores internacionales BroadGroup predice más de un 50% en el crecimiento de espacio en las instalaciones de data centres en España y Portugal para 2010. En el primer informe que evalúa al mercado Ibérico se pronostica que el crecimiento del sector de los data centres será sostenible en los próximos años. Animados por una fuerte economía en los últimos años, los data centres se han movido tal vez más marcadamente que en otros sitios de Europa para incrementar su enfoque en la provisión de servicios gestionados, aunque los operadores entrevistados expresaron incertidumbre sobre la oportunidad para los servicios de alta densidad. Sin embargo, la investigación advierte sobre la posible subida en los precios de electricidad en España, que impactaría en los servicios de data centres en el corto plazo ajustando sus precios y en algunos casos sus modelos de negocio para acomodarse a la subida de tarifas. Los precios de colocation y Web hosting, que han permanecido económicos y generalmente por debajo de aquellos ofrecidos en Europa, también es probable que se vean afectados por un incremento en las tarifas de energía. El informe identifica oportunidades de entrada al mercado como así también para inversores en el sector que busquen adquirir presencia en el mercado. La investigación para el informe sugiere que inevitablemente habrá consolidación de empresas, a través de M&A y además de la reorganización de compañías. El mercado de los data centres en España y Portugal ha recuperado un nivel de confianza en los últimos años y las empresas están expandiendo y mejorando infraestructuras y servicios para sostener el crecimiento y la demanda , comenta Pablo Diantina, Analista Principal de BroadGroup. La investigación para el informe encontró que el mercado de PYMES, que representa la gran mayoría de la economía, formará una nueva oportunidad de servicios de outsourcing para los data centres. En contraste con el mercado corporativo, sin embargo, la adopción de nuevos servicios llevaría más tiempo en materializarse. Documentando el surgimiento de nuevos competidores en infraestructuras en Madrid, Barcelona y Lisboa además de nichos de mercados locales metropolitanos, el informe destaca a las empresas clave y sus estrategias.
