AboveNet uses ancotel to expand its European Ethernet footprint

AboveNet, which is in the process of being acquired by Zayo, is enhancing its European Ethernet network presence by establishing a connection into ancotel's Kleyer90 data-centre facility in Farnkfurt.

Focused on serving international wholesale customers, the agreement with ancotel enables the White Plains, N.Y.-based provider and its customers to get access to over 440 service providers in over 63 countries. It can now extend its 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps Ethernet service to a wide host of VoIP providers, broadband providers, hosting companies, content delivery networks, cloud networking companies and enterprises.
