Accenture And Thomas Cook Enter Into 10 Year Outsourcing Contract

Accenture has announced that it has won a USD400 million 10-year outsourcing contract with Thomas Cook Group plc. The contract includes application management, technology infrastructure management, finance, accounting and human resources services. The contract replaces a previous agreement signed in 2002 which intended to cater for the integration of the recently acquired MyTravel functions into the existing outsourced functions of Thomas Cook. A number of applications will be catered for under the contract including SAP-based enterprise resource planning and payroll services. Accenture will deliver the services through a shared services centre based in the UK.
