aCure building new Perth data centre

aCure Technology, the privately owned Western Australian based  IT service provider, has annocued that it is building a new data centre in Perth.

The centre, titled aCure DC3, located within the City’s business district is set to open in August this year. The facility which will total 5,000 sq m in all will initially contain some 1,000 sq m of data centre space in its first phase with further expansion plans are expected to add to this. Part of the centre will be set aside for the companies head quarters.

Grant Farrow, DC sales manager, said in a statement. “A CBD location has been specifically chosen for the DC3 build as that is what our clients are demanding. There is currently very limited data centre space in the Perth City Centre. Most of our data centre clients’ offices are based within the CBD and being able to hop on a CAT city bus and be there in five minutes means they will use the facilities as a primary data centre.”
