Bank of America still searching for 1 million sq ft data centre site

Bank of America has abandoned plans to build a corporate data centre at the Center Valley Club in Pennsylvania. Sierra Management closed the golf course in October after Bank of America began looking at the property as the possible site of a nearly 1 million-sq ft corporate data centre, a massive complex that could have housed acres of computer servers.

Bank of America did not say why it decided not to build in Center Valley, Kessell said. A spokesman for the bank would not comment on the property. A bank official recently ruled out building a similar data centre on property in Lopatcong Township, Warren County, N.J. Bank of America is still considering building a corporate data centre, but isn't interested in talking about details or location, spokesman Jerry Dubrovsky said.
