CB Richard Ellis have released their latest European Data Centres report Q1 2011

The first quarter of 2011 has shown that whilst market sentiment has seen some improvement, demand remains tentative, and as such this year is likely to follow a similar path to last year.

Key Highlights:

•Supply pipeline looks healthier following an increase in proposed new schemes
•Vacancy rate for Fully-fitted space at an all time low
•Demand for Retail colocation space increases over the quarter, but remains close to longer term average
•Demand for Wholesale colocation space shows improvement
•Total take up in Amsterdam highest in the European Tier 1 markets in Q1
•London continues to drive market recovery
