CenturyLink wins Fort Stewart contract

CenturyLink has won a contract renewal worth US$2.1 million over the next five years to provide telecommunications services to the U.S. Army base at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The contract is for one year with four one-year options. The award decision was based on CenturyLink's past performance, technical solution and total cost.

CenturyLink will continue to provide Internet, data services, local telephone exchange and other telecommunications products and services to support Fort Stewart's operations and soldiers, including the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division. Fort Stewart covers 280,000 acres, including Hunter Army Airfield and parts of five different counties in southeast Georgia.
