Web hosting provider Codero Hosting has announced it will open a new data centre location in Ashburn, Virginia, which marks the company’s third US site. Located in the Dulles Technology Corridor, the data centre is home to many high-tech corporations and government agencies. The region is one of the largest technology hubs in the US, with 60% of all Internet traffic passing through it.

The new data centre adheres to the same high quality standards as Codero’s other facilities in Phoenix and Chicago. These features include SSAE 16 (SAS 70 Type II) certification, 36 inch raised floor space in a premium 71,000 sq ft data centre, access to multiple Tier 1 bandwidth providers including AboveNet, XO and Level 3, N+1 redundant UPS and redundant generators, and advanced systems monitoring, 24-hour on-site security and biometric access.
