Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit on increased demand for its outsourcing services, and the information technology services provider raised its full-year adjusted profit forecast. Revenue for the current quarter rose to US$1.795 billion, up 4.9% sequentially and 20.9% from a year-ago quarter.  

The information technology services provider's net income rose to US$251.9 million for the second quarter from US$208 million a year earlier.
