Newport headquartered Certus IT is hosting a series of free business seminars to help companies keep abreast of the latest IT developments. In partnership with Dell and Microsoft, the half-day seminars will be held at NGD Europe, Next Generation Data Limited’s 750,000 square feet mega data centre in Newport where Certus IT’s new data centre business is based.

The first event has already taken place attracting a number of local organisations, including Centre for Business, Julian Hodge Bank and the Welsh Rugby Union. Industry leaders Microsoft and Dell presented on the benefits of a virtualised infrastructure and different storage solution options to reduce operating costs and the complexity of IT infrastructures. The next
workshop, entitled ‘reduce opex – while planning for growth’ will be on the 18 April.
