DuPont Fabros Technology is awarded Recycled Water Customer of the Year for its Santa Clara data centre

DuPont Fabros Technology has announced that its SC1 data centre located in Santa Clara, California has received the Recycled Water Customer of the Year award from the WateReuse Association California ection. This selection was made by the 012 California Annual Conference Awards Sub-Committee members and the ateReuse California Board. SC1 uses recycled water for all of its evaporative hilled water cooling tower make-up and landscape irrigation needs.  By incorporating recycled water into the data entre design, it conserves the Bay Area's precious potable water supply.

SC1 is one of the largest data centres located in Silicon alley. It is constructed in two dentical phases, each comprising 18.2 megawatts of available critical load ower capacity and pproximately 88,000 sq ft of computing space.
