Global Switch, the leading owner and operator of wholesale, multi-tenanted, carrier-neutral data centres in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has announced a new senior appointment for its Frankfurt data centre.

Erhard Raible has been appointed as Managing Director, Frankfurt with effect from 1 August 2012. Erhard has over 30 years’ industry experience, the last seven of which have been working directly in the data centre industry for e-shelter, a major wholesale data centre operator in Frankfurt, where he was focused on new business and direct sales to enterprise companies. Prior to this Erhard spent over ten years at Sun Microsystems where he concentrated on solution sales to financial institutions. Erhard will focus on the continuing development and future expansion of Global Switch’s Frankfurt data centre, a purpose built facility known for its exceptional quality and resilience. He will oversee all aspects of the data centre from sales through to operations.
