Hurricane Electric establishes POP in Wisconsin

Colocation hosting and Internet backbone provider Hurricane Electric has announced it has established a point-of-presence in Madison, Wisconsin. The move comes a couple months after Hurricane Electric enhanced its Border Gateway Protocol Toolkit which helps with the analysis, debugging and reverse engineering of Internet routes and peering relationships.

Located at 5NINES at 222 West Washington Ave, the new PoP will allow carriers at 5 NINES to exchange IP traffic directly with Hurricane’s global Internet backbone. The PoP is part of Hurricane Electric’s latest global network expansion in the Midwest, following its recent rollout of new infrastructure in Denver, Colorado and Kansas City, Missouri.
