IBM unveils new server products

Technology and consulting firm IBM has introduced new server applications that will offer x86 clients and data centre managers speed, performance and flexibility they need to implement and manage new and existing workloads.

The new products round out the portfolios of x86 offerings which comes with energy efficient blade server with networking flexibility and a rack system that bridges the gap between traditional two-processor servers and four-processor systems for handling high-performance computing and database-intensive applications. IBM also unveiled several new entry systems to perform small-to-mid-size infrastructure workloads. The offering includes BladeCenter HS23E, IBM System x3750, IBM System x3630 M4 and x3530 M4, and Flex System x220.
