Interxion to open data centre in Courneuve

European data centre operator Interxion will open a new data centre in the Paris suburb of Courneuve. The €130 million facility will cover 9,000 sq m, the first half going live in the second quarter of 2012, as well as 900 sq m of client offices.

The Courneuve data centre benefits from its proximity to the A86 motorway, the peripherique ring road and a new tramway line. The new data centre will enable over 70 operators to connect to Interxion's dark fibre network and the company's main interconnection point in France, the France-IX facility. The Courneuve data centre will feature the industry's latest ecological, power supply and security requirements.
