KGS wins spot on US$715 million VA data centre contractor team

KGS is on the winning team for a US$715 million Department of Veterans Affairs task order to consolidate and manage the VA’s data centres, the company has announced. The Fairfax, Virgina.-based technology services firm will act as a primary subcontractor to Systems Made Simple on the VA’s T4 vehicle, supporting the department’s data centre acquisition program.

Under the five-year contract, the team will consolidate five data centres that contain more than 2,000 servers and 200 information technology applications. The goal is to integrate information from the data centres into a single architecture, KGS said.
