Level 3 reports first quarter 2012 results

Level 3 Communications, reported total revenue of US$1.586 billion for the first quarter 2012, an increase compared to US$1.579 billion for the fourth quarter 2011.The net loss for the first quarter 2012 was US$138 million compared to a net loss from continuing operations of US$235 million in the fourth quarter 2011. On a per share basis and excluding losses on extinguishment of debt, these losses were US$0.37 for the first quarter 2012 and US$1.02 for the fourth quarter 2011.
