Licking Memorial Hospital building data centre

A new US$4 million data centre at Licking Memorial Hospital will help protect patient information and ensure it is available even during severe weather.

Construction on the new data centre began earlier this year and is expected to be complete before the end of the year. Sallie Arnett, vice president of information systems at Licking Memorial Health Systems, said the new data centre will have better redundancy for electrical and mechanical systems. The old centre, for instance, had about 240 servers on site. This centre will have the capacity for 640 servers.
