Maersk Oil selects FIBERTOWN for large-scale data centre consolidation

FIBERTOWN, a premier provider of high availability Houston data centres and business continuity offices, has announced that the Houston division of Danish oil and shipping company, Maersk Oil, selected FIBERTOWN data centres for high-performance colocation of its mission critical and disaster recovery systems.

The growing oil and gas conglomerate will leverage the private gateway between FIBERTOWN colocation facilities to communicate between its production systems in Houston and disaster recovery systems in Bryan/College Station. “FIBERTOWN provides data center solutions with the precise mix of performance, security and customer service to meet our needs cost-effectively and best support our continued growth,” said Mark Lennon, Head of IT Americas for Maersk Oil. “We know we can scale quickly and rely on FIBERTOWN for the upmost levels of redundancy.”
