Manchester's IDA acquired by hurleypalmerflatt

A multi-national consultancy has swooped for a north west firm and plans to move its operations to Manchester as it looks to increase the size of its team in the region. Integrated Design Associates, based at Tattenhall, near Chester, has been acquired by hurleypalmerflatt, which has offices in London, Glasgow, the Far East, Middle East, New York and Sydney.

IDA, established in 2002 by Mark O'Grady, carries out design and engineering consultancy for projects such as data centres. It currently employs six staff but a move to Manchester is expected to herald a drive to double the size of its team.
