Mardix move from point in time measurement to thermal trending with ExerTherm Technology

Mardix have entered into a partnership with QHI Group that will see ExerTherm technology become a central part of their industry leading approach to switchgear, power management and service. ExerTherm employs InfraRed sensors and cable sensors to continuously monitor key busbar terminations and critical cable terminations respectively.

Andy Banks, Power Management Director explains: “Thermal inspection is internationally recognised as the best method of detecting poor terminations and over loaded components, cabling and busbars. Periodic inspections, although essential, leave much of the operating period completely unrecorded and unmonitored. In critical environments ExerTherm will be key in maximising reliable uptime.
