A new report from the US shows that nine out of ten decision makers in the IT sector are keen on cloud computing and understand what the technology can do for their business. The study, which was conducted by McLoughlin and Associates after being commissioned by Rackspace Hosting, found that 91% of IT bosses are in favour of the technology.
However, despite the well documented monetary advantages of cloud computing, the majority of those questioned said that they value the quality of service provided by vendors more than the cost benefits at a ratio of 75% to 25%. Indeed, a large number even said that they would be willing to pay more for their cloud services if they knew that the technical support on offer was top notch.
