OVH launches its first in data centre North America
Web hosting company OVH has established its first data centre in North America. The facility, a former industrial site in Beauharnois, Quebec, was converted over six months. It has a capacity of 360,000 physical servers and is powered by a hydroelectric dam located less than 300 meters away from the building.
OVH has also deployed a network that covers Canada and the United States. Based on 100G technology, this equipment makes it possible to manage a high capacity (10Tb/s) fully redundant network. This means the host ensures 100% network availability and low latencies.
