Phillippine Long Distance Telephone will commence operation of its third Internet data centre situated in Cebu by the second quarter of the year, the phone giant has said. The first facility was set up in Pasig City while the second one is in Subic.
The data centre will cater to the data and information management requirements and ICT needs of businesses in the Visayas area, particularly in Cebu. “Our Vitro data centre promises stability, security, and reliability for data management needs of enterprises and thus, allows them to focus on their core businesses,” said Executive Vice President and Head of Enterprise and International and Carrier Business Eric R. Alberto. The phone giant is rolling out Vitro data centre facilities in key areas across the country to provide businesses cloud-based data and information management services.
