Qtel in connectivity agreement with BT
Multinational companies doing business with Qatar and local firms with international operations are set to benefit from a “faster and highly secure” global connectivity, which will be provided through a Qtel – British Telecommunications network node that has been set up.
British Telecommunications has established a local Point of Presence (PoP) for its BT Connect global network services, in Qatar, which will be operated by Qtel. Qtel’s Data Centre is to host the BT server, which will meet the business connectivity requirements of local and global customers in airline, banking, financial markets, oil and gas, logistics and construction industries.
