Federal agencies could save US$18.8 billion1 from their data centre consolidation efforts, according to a new study from MeriTalk, the government IT network. That amount could pay the entire combined IT bill for the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Veterans Affairs, Social Security Administration, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of the Interior for a year2.
