The SBB is renewing its SAP contract with Swisscom IT Services through to the middle of 2014. The contract is worth around CHF 16 million. Swisscom IT Services will continue to manage the overall hosting of the SAP server infrastructure as well as the corresponding storage media for a further two years. The partnership in this area has been in place since 2005.

In addition to SAP operation, Swisscom IT Services is also responsible for all IT workplaces at SBB as well as the Group-wide service desk, high-availability storage systems and divese Group applications.
