Secure data centre boosts IT recruiting
A £1 million investment in the latest technology has sparked a surge in business for a Hampshire IT specialist which is now looking for 17 new staff to handle demand. Fareham-based Taylor Made Computer Solutions is looking to take on the new IT engineers as clients clamour to use its new high security data centre as a safe alternative to cloud computing. The new faces will follow 25 starters taken on since January. The firm now employs 120 staff.
Taylor Made’s investment in one of the UK’s most secure data centres has enabled the Cams Hall-based business to offer services previously only available to the biggest multinationals. The Scottish and Southern Energy- owned datacentre is based in a no-fly zone at a secret location in south Hampshire with military grade security. Taylor Made also has a secondary data centre on its Cams Hall Estate base that is ideal for back-ups and disaster recovery.
