SIS to create Lexington data centre

SIS Holding Company, a privately owned technology solution provider headquartered in Lexington for more than 25 years, will invest US$5.5 million to create a data centre and consulting services for new and existing clients. Company officials said the project will create 15 new high-tech jobs.

New services resulting from the expansion will include cloud computing, colocation, disaster recovery, application hosting and data centre outsourcing. SIS, which currently has 35 Lexington-based employees, will either build a new and larger facility or renovate an existing building, significantly increasing the company's presence in Lexington.
