CALSOFT LAUNCHES OFFSHORE DEVELOPMENT CENTRES FOR EUROPE

Posted on: 17/06/2008

IT enterprise solutions and product engineering specialist, Calsoft, is investing in Europe to extend its international offshore capability. Calsoft Offshore Development Centres (ODC) will provide product development, testing, and sustenance engineering services with vertical sector insight, and consultancy for businesses across the UK and mainland Europe. Calsoft ODC for Europe will be spearheaded by new recruit Simon Ellis, previously Head of Solution at telecoms retailer, Phones4U.

A new office will be opening in Fleet, Hampshire, during 2008 and additional staff will be recruited to support Calsoft's current European team. Globally, over 80 customers rely on Calsoft for development and service management. Calsoft ODC has the international capability to manage large offshore projects with strategically located development and service hubs. Having recently merged with UK Oracle specialist, Inatech, Calsoft will service customers' development departments, augmenting their own IT departments, and improving time to market for product development.

Corporations need to manage resources through effective cost-reduction programmes to maintain steady growth during international economic uncertainty. Businesses, particularly medium-sized companies, are consolidating assets, streamlining operations and projects to identify market strength during this critical year.

Calsoft was recently selected as Oracle's 2008 UK Integration Partner for Retail. Simon will be working with senior customer stakeholders to design end-to-end business-led solutions, enabled through agile technology. These technologies span the leading market vendors: Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, and Red Hat.
