| DATA393 OPENS 10,000-SQUARE-FOOT EXPANSION Posted on: 10/07/2008 Data393, a leading provider of colocation, managed hosting, disaster recovery and IP network services, has announced the completion and availability of its 10,000-square-foot, power-rich data center expansion. Data393 increased the amount of raised flooring to a total of approximately 30,000 square feet within its Denver Tech Center facility. The acquisition of Data393 by Managed Data Holdings in December 2007 gave Data393 the resources to accelerate this expansion and meet market demand. The expansion incorporated high density power and cooling, parallel redundant generator capacity, static-dissipating raised flooring and a mix of cabinet and cage colocation space. “The demand for colocation and managed hosting continues to grow as our current and potential customers seek power and cooling to support high density blade technology and high density hosting applications,” said Brett Jones, General Manager of Data393. “We also developed more growth space as businesses are increasingly consolidating computing infrastructure from their offices to our data center. Our investment of increased power and cooling meets those needs while delivering greater options for tailored colocation bundled with hands-on managed services required in today’s online world.” While many data facilities are not equipped to handle the increased demands for power and cooling required by high density devices, Data393 has engineered higher raised flooring and ceiling heights and employed next-generation technology in cooling. Data393’s colocation suite also features multi-faceted upgrades, including a string of six paralleled Generac 600kw generators with N+1 redundancy and increased capacity of three megawatts of power, ensuring a 24/7, redundant power supply capable of supplying up to 200 watts of power per square foot. |
