STARCOMPLIANCE SOFTWARE SELECTS SAVVIS FOR VIRTUALISED IT INFRASTRUCTURE

SAVVIS, Inc has announced an agreement to provide fully managed hosting services to StarCompliance Software, a leading global provider of enterprise compliance and regulatory software for the financial industry. In conjunction with its newly released Next Generation software, StarCompliance is expanding its relationship with SAVVIS by upgrading its IT infrastructure to SAVVIS’ managed and virtualised IT utility services platform.

SAVVIS has been providing StarCompliance Software and its global client base with hosting and managed security services, including virtualised firewalls and intrusion detection services since 2001. The further outsourcing of its IT infrastructure will allow StarCompliance to increase its focus on its core business operations. Star elected to migrate to SAVVIS’ virtualised IT infrastructure services platform featuring utility compute and storage solutions and managed security in conjunction with the release of its Next Generation software, a newly developed software platform offering enterprise-level software workflow functionality required by its clients and the heightened regulatory environment.

StarCompliance’s Next Generation Software is available in Express, Professional and Enterprise editions. The Star software addresses all employee conflicts of interest such as employee trade surveillance, gifts and entertainment and outside business activity. Over 75 leading global financial institutions representing over 50,000 employees currently utilise the Star legacy application to address the above employee conflicts. The Next Generation software offers process efficiencies to the compliance operations of diverse organisations such as investment banks, mutual funds, institutional asset managers, broker/dealers, insurance companies, hedge funds and private equity firms.
