Stream Data Centers completes Texas data centre

Stream Data Centers, a leading data centre developer in the Texas market, has completed construction of its fully-commissioned Private Data Center in Richardson, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. The facility is located in a high-tech community, known nationally as the Telecom Corridor area, which boasts one of the highest concentrations of technology employees in the country.

The Stream Private Data Center is a ground-up, purpose-built data centre development totalling 73,320 sq ft, built to Miami-Dade County Building Code Standards to withstand 146-mph winds and uplift. Additionally, Stream utilized accredited construction and design practices required to achieve LEED Gold Certification. The Stream Private Data Center delivers 3.375 MW of critical load with the ability to easily expand to 6.75 MW across 30,000 sq ft of raised floor with all necessary conduit and pads in place.

This data center is Stream's second development in Richardson in the last two years. Richardson's proven power and fiber infrastructure has attracted major data center operations and critical facilities for companies including Texas Instruments, Bank of America, AT&T, Verizon, Cisco Systems and Fujitsu.
