Taiwan: Hon Hai to build incubator and cloud computing centre in Kaohsiung

Hon Hai Group, the world’s largest electronic manufacturing service provider, has invested NT$ 1.9 billion (US$ 63.3 million) in the new incubator and cloud computing centre in the Kaohsiung Software Technology Park, in Southern Taiwan, which broke ground recently.  An official indicated that Hon Hai’s projects in the KSTP are designed to be equipped with international convention centre, display centre, and café, with the plan of the lower floors to be multifunctional to enable changes to meet Hon Hai’s demand.

C. C. Lan, Director-general of Economic Development Bureau of Kaohsiung city, welcomes Hon Hai’s investment, hoping the incubation and cloud computing centre to become a mecca for digital technologies to attract related businesses.  Insiders say that the cloud computing centre is expected to be finished and inaugurated by the end of next August, with the incubation centre projected to open after three years.
